AKW also describes a 53 mm shallow profile; its 2026 specification lists 72 mm below the tray and 89 mm overall. Check the complete assembly and available clearance before fitting.
Installation & compatibility
Use an experienced installer. Dry-fit to confirm support, clearance and a minimum 1:40 pipe fall, then check watertight connections. Follow the safety-flooring sequence in AKW’s instructions: steps 1–4 and 5a–8a. The manual also covers a separate tiled-floor version.
Cleaning & guarantee
Remove collected hair and debris regularly via the top cover and trap. Use normal bathroom cleaning products, rinse and wipe away residues. Avoid abrasive cloths, concentrated acidic or alkaline cleaners and autoclave cleaning.
AKW’s instructions state a lifetime guarantee against manufacturing or material defects, subject to correct installation and the full terms. Blockages, incorrect use, accidental damage, poor maintenance, wear and surface finishes are excluded.
